I look forward to awards season every year, but let’s be real, there’s nothing like the Oscars. Ever since I was a little girl watching it with my mom, it’s become my tradition to curl up on the couch (with a glass of wine now of course), and see the much anticipated fashion. From the hair, to makeup, to couture, I just can’t get enough.
This year the stars did not disappoint. Stars wore everything from short dresses to long dresses, pink designs to edgy black; they pulled out all the strings to bring it this year. Hands down I would be surprised if this wasn’t the best Oscars red carpet of all time. It was that good y’all.
Here are just a few of my favorites from this years Oscars.
Kristin Cavallari brought all the glam for the red carpet. I love the simplicity and sleekness of her hair, glammed up with bobby pins to give it that wow factor. I’m loving this trend lately.
Her makeup was done with Cover Girl products here, here, and here and I am really loving the classic feel of this look. Her makeup reminds me of a bronze, golden Summer feel with the drama of the winged eyeliner. A wing can vamp up any look, so I love that her makeup artist, Ash K Holm, chose to do this for Oscar night .
All hail the queen of glitz and glam herself, JLo. I wouldn’t expect anything less from this woman and I can’t get over how amazing she looks at 50. 50! She’s never looked better. Her skin is bronzed and glowing to compliment her intense, smoky eye. I’ve seen her do this look before and I feel like it always fits her and makes her eyes super sexy without being over the top. Paired with a simple lip and a fresh blow out, it’s absolute perfection.
This look is everything! Adriana Lima brought it with this simple yet, bold look for this years red carpet. I see this glowing skin with a bright lip setting a trend this Spring/Summer 2019. I love the glossy look of the eyeshadow and how fresh and youthful it makes her look. I love using these lipsticks for bridal makeup; they stay put and the color is rich and pigmented. The lip color is definitely on my list to add to my collection. Makeup artist, Patrick Ta used Maybelline’s Super Stay Matte Ink lipstick in Romantic. He then added a bit of Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipstick in Pink and Chic in the center of the lip to keep it fresh. All around win.
And then there is Lady Gaga. I, along with millions of others, were most excited to see her. She just nails it every, single time. Her Alexander McQueen dress was classic with a little Gaga flare. The makeup and hair was toned down for her norm, but I loved how refreshing it was to see her in this old Hollywood persona using Marc Jacobs Beauty products including Fineliner Ultra-Skinny Eye Crayon in Steel(etto). It was simple yet STUNNING. I love seeing this side of Gaga, but of course I can’t stay away from the Mother Monster we all know and love.
